Christmas in London 2018: Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland has always been concerned as London’s biggest Christmas fair located in Hyde Park which opens every day from 10am – 10pm during Xmas season, except for Christmas Day. The Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland has been spreading the Christmas spirit throughout the metropolitan city for over 10 years, bringing a lot of fun with winter markets, festive fairground rides, huge ice-skating space, amazing street-food stalls, cozy wooden grottos and so many things that can keep you going all night long.

No entrance fee is required at Winter Wonderland, but the queue for security check is always long that takes at least 30mins at peak time. Most attractions and shows inside are ticketed with price based on the each content, about £3 – £9 per person/ game.

The collaborations of Google and Winter Wonderland is absolutely amazing that make your waiting time for the Big Wheel more experiential by experiencing Google Assistant to make snow and prepare hot chocolate.

Before you even get on The Big Wheel, the staffs will take you a snowy selfie with the Google Home Hub’s support by asking the voice assistant to make it snow. Then a flurry of the white stuff will start to fall from a snow machine. Alternatively, you will come to place your order for a hot chocolate with Google Assistant that will be passed on to the elves to make.

The Big Wheel is 60 meters high which helps you with a spectacular view of Winter Wonderland. Ticket costs between £7 and £9 per person, depending on when you want to go. If you’re a full-time student, don’t forget to bring a student ID with you to get a discount.

With the support from Google, your experience in Winter Wonderland this year will go up a notch because no cash is needed. Google Pay app allows visitors to use contactless payment across the event, from food and drink to accessing rides and attractions. They can also speed through online checkout and store their e-tickets in Google Pay.

No visit is complete in an open-air winter market without exploring the street-food area. The Bavarian village of Winter Wonderland is such a perfect spot for outdoor eating and drinking. Just grab some food from a range of Bavarian-inspired vendors including tasty Bratwurst, flame-grilled salmon with seasonal salad, mac n cheese or a delicious hot dog with German sausage and warm up over a hot chocolate or cup of mulled berry wine, or German beers at the bars.
